Merle Haggard asked a bus driver where he'd like to be right now, to which the driver responded, "Somewhere right in the middle of damn Montana!". Merle ran with that and gave the driver a 50% writer's credit, thus equipping the man with a nice nest egg as those royalties turned into a windfall.
